Drama Studio London has a long tradition of delivering fun festive shows to the local community in Ealing. There are many schools who look forward to the annual visit as a marker that the holiday season has truly begun.
This year DSL has taken its commitment further, recognising that at this particular time parents and schools are struggling to provide a little extra. A record eight pantomimes have been created for twenty-four schools and community centres reaching over 5000 children in 44 performances.
The Director of Drama Studio London, Emma Lucia Hands comments:
“I went to visit some of the news schools on our list prior to our performances and met teachers who explained that this year they couldn’t provide any live entertainment because there simply wasn’t the budget, so the invitation from DSL to bring a show for free has brought a great deal of pleasure.
We have been so grateful to be assisted by UWL who provided the transport costs for us to take the 87 actors to all the venues.
We are proud of the quality of the productions and the positive impact they have on young children, many of whom are experiencing live theatre for the first time.”
